Puttur: Workshop on first aid at St Philomena College

Puttur, Oct 20: The NSS and Red Cross Society of St Philomena College organised a workshop on first aid at Silver Jubilee memorial Hall, St Philomena College, here on Monday, October 20.

The resource person of the workshop, Prof Meena Malani, retired professor of Mift College said,“During the time of life threatening situations, first aid is required to get the situation under control.The NSS cadets and the members of Red Cross Society should take up this initiative”.

Prof Meena Malani oriented the students with simple steps of providing the first aid. They were made aware of maintaining their calm and assessing life threatening situations so that they could handle small causalities.

Principal, Prof Leo Noronha presided over the function. The convenor of NSS, Prof Nagaraju and the convenor of Red Cross Society Prof Edwin D’Souza were present for the programme.

Cyndrella and team sang the prayer song. Bhavya welcomed the gathering. Shishira proposed the vote of thanks. Shwetha compered.
