Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Oct 21: Pavitrateja has been appointed as the new inspector of Ullal station, which has witnessed several changes of late. In the recent past, some unsavoury incidents had occurred within the jurisdiction of this station, and complaints of improper handling of cases were made against police officials.

Early last month, the city police commissioner had transferred inspector of the station, Dharmendra Kumar, and two police subinspectors, after finding fault in handling of some recent disturbances there, on temporary basis. Thereafter, Pramod Kumar, special branch inspector at commissioner's office, and Panambur police subinspector, Bharati, were posted in their place.

It is gathered that after the duo took charge at Ullal, they took strict measures and succeeded in containing disturbances in the area.
