Bantwal: Bus hits motorbike seriously injuring one

Bantwal, Oct 22: A private bus hit a motorbike seriously injuring its rider at Talapady on NH 75 on the evening of Tuesday October 21. The bike rider Baridmaru resident Ranjith is seriously injured and has been admitted to the hospital.

Ranjith, a TV mechanic, was riding his bike along a curve on the NH 75 curve when a speeding private bus hit his vehicle from behind. Onlookers have said that one of the wheels of the bus had run over his stomach. He has been rushed to a private hospital at Thumbe.

Bantwal police SI Nandakumar and staff came to the place, conducted an investigation, and registered a case. It is said that several accidents have occurred on this dangerous curve.

As vehicles are driven at a high speed on the highway, it is difficult to know when the accidents will take place. The locals have urged the police to insist on precautionary measures.
