Mangalore: Railway station murder; One person arrested

Mangalore, Oct 22: Mangalore railway police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of Jayraj alias Subba alias Nama (27) from Bajalkodi Jalligudde.

The arrested person is Mohan alias Dikki Mohan from Sorab in Shimoga district.

Jayraj was found murdered at Mangalore central railway station in the early hours of October 2. The dead body was found in the south end of the railway station. The deceased person who was stabbed many times had succumbed to injuries.

Initial investigations by the police had revealed that Jayraj was a pick pocket.

Now it is said that the deceased and the arrested were in the same business and both used to frequent railway stations for pick pocketing. It is said that both had a rivalry on the issue of their business and deceased Jayraj had threatened Mohan that he would kill him.

So Mohan took the issue very seriously and killed Jayraj and went to his village in Sorab. The railway police who investigated the case found out about Mohan and went to his place to arrest him.
