Mangalore, Oct 25: The police have arrested 3 more persons in connection with the illegal sand mining at Adamkudru near here on Wednesday October 24.

The arrested have been identified as Naveen Shetty, Santhosh D'Souza and Karunakar Shetty. They were the drivers of the tippers used in transporting sand.  As reported earlier, the district administration had demolished an illegally built building at Adamkudru which was used for illegal sand mining.

The police had arrested Thomas D'Sa, Wilson D'Souza, Baptist Menezes, Philip D'Sa, Ravi on the same day.  Now with the arrest of another 3 persons, the total number persons arrested in the case has gone up to 8.  Police are still investigating the case.
