No one had noticed Nayak's body till Friday afternoon. His body was lying on the wrong side of the road between Manipal and Parkala. His body was lying face up, and clothes were found drenched, and smeared with mud and filth from the drain. The accident occurred when Nayak was moving to Kukkehally from Manipal.
