Mangalore, Oct 27: A sudden fire that erupted in Canara Electronics and Refrigeration showroom here in the city has resulted in considerable loss on Friday October 27 morning.
Fire erupted in the shop when a lamp which was lighted in the shop overturned on Friday morning. The sources said that the shop was being shifted to new premises and most of the items had already been shifted. Only a few things were in the shop. At that time a small lamp (diya) which was lighted overturned.
Soon the fire spread in the shop. But it was overpowered soon by the locals. Police too rushed to the place immediately and took control of the situation. Though exact loss has not yet been estimated, sources said that it may amount to Rs 50,000.
