Doha: MCC to hold ladies throwball tournament on Oct 30, 31

Doha, Oct 27: It is the ideal time of the year to be on the sports field and sweat out in the cool weather. Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), Qatar seizes this opportunity and promotes sports by hosting its ever popular game Throwball Tournament year after year for all the ladies in Qatar.

This year, MCC will hold its ever popular 13th annual MCC Ladies Open Throwball Tournament on October 30 and 31 at the old Ideal Indian School Grounds, near Midmac Flyover, Salwa Road.

This year six teams, namely, Tulu Koota, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Konkan Stars, Al-Khor Community, Royal Warriors and host team MCC will be vying for the prestigious MCC Trophy. League matches will be played on Thursday October 30 starting at 6.00 pm following a short opening ceremony. The semi-final matches will be held on Friday October 31 starting at 3.00 pm.

This will be followed by an official stage function around 6.30 pm and then the exciting final match will be played followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Ladies throwball tournament has not only provided an avenue for ladies to exhibit their sporting skills but also brings all communities together to enjoy the game in the best weather and has been an opportunity for all the sports lovers, supporters and spectators to join in the fun and spirit of the game. MCC invites all sports lovers in Qatar to attend in large numbers and enjoy the exciting matches and cheer the teams.

The main sponsor of this tournament is Alfred Sequeira of Gulf International Enterprise and the platinum sponsor is EMCO Qatar.

    I cannot understand what R Bhandarkar is harping about. I only wish he could come and witness the match and then i am sure he will stop talking irrelevantly.
