Mangalore, Oct 28: A one-day token strike held by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) on Friday October 27 affected the Banking Service.
 
The strike was called to urge the government to meet their needs.




The UFBU placed its memorandum of demands, which include second option on pension scheme, implementation of compassionate appointment scheme, stoppage of outsourcing and commencement of recruitment to fill the shortage of employees and officers in banks and others.  

The UFBU also opposed the attack on rights of the trade unions
