Mangalore: Cleaning campaign held at Holy Spirit church,Bajal

Mangalore, Oct 28: Holy Spirit church, Bajal, organized a cleaning campaign, here on Sunday, October 26.

Praveen Chandra Alva, a popular corporator of Mangalore City Corporation inaugurated the programme by calling all the people to keep a step forward for cleanliness. It was the obligation of each and everyone to keep their surroundings clean, he said.

Fr Cyril Pinto, parish priest of Holy Spirit church, addressed the gathering and said, “We should have good will to work for the common cause. When each person does his/her duty towards cleanliness, the goal will be achieved”.

Lydia Lobo said that it was very important to keep the surroundings clean. “It leads to good health and good health leads to peace and happiness in the family and in the society as well”, she added.

Nearly 60 parishioners cleaned the surroundings and set models for others.

Secretary of parish council, Sunil Crasta proposed vote of thanks.
