Mangalore, Oct 30: In the annual general body meeting of SACAA held on September 19, the following office bearers were elected for a term of two years (2014-2016):

Dr Richard Gonsalves as president, Archibald Menezes as vice president, Felix F D’Silva as secretary, Naveen Mascarenhas as joint secretary and Peter Oswald Rodrigues as treasurer.

The following members were elected as the executive council members: N G Mohan, Winston D’Souza, professor Edmund Frank, Michael D’Souza and Stephen Pinto.

Election proceedings were conducted by the Election Commissioner professor M L Sureshnath. The audited statements of accounts were placed before the house by the treasurer Naveen Mascarenhas. SACAA director Fr Swebert D’Silva appreciated the good work done by outgoing president Michael D’Souza his team.

The SACAA patron Fr Denzil Lobo gave his message. The outgoing president Michael D’Souza thanked all the members for the support he received during his term and he felicitated Edwin J F D’Souza for receiving the Vishwas Konkani puraskara for his book 'Kalem Bhangar.' He also congratulated N G Mohan for his re-election as district chief commissioner of Scouts and Guides. The meeting ended with the vote of thanks by Archibald Menezes.
