Byndoor theft case, police seize part of stolen gold in Somawarpet

Somawarpet, Nov 1: Police have seized gold jewellery in Somawarpet of Madikeri district relating to a recent theft reported in Byndoor.
The accused Ravi Jathan was involved in the theft in Byndoor where the gold jewellery worth Rs. 12 lacs was stolen recently. The accused who went later to Somawarpet pledged part of the loot, a gold ring weighing 15 grams for Rs.11000. He availed the help of a woman named Renuka from Somawarpet for this.

The Circle Inspector Sudarshan from Byndoor police station and his team who were investigating the case went to Somawarpet with the accused Ravi Jathan and the woman Renuka and seized the gold ring from the shop where it was pledged.
With the main accused in custody, the police are investigating further.
