Mangalore, Nov 1: The Collaborators 8th Annual meet was held on November 1 at CODP Hall, Nanthoor in Mangalore.

The programme began with a prayer and lighting of lamp.

William Mascarenhas President of Collaborators welcomed the guests with flowers.

The Director of CODP Fr Oswald Monteiro in his introductory speech explained the background of Collaborators Association and its objectives.

Irene Rebello, secretary of Collaborators read the annual report.

The chief guest Elisha Andrews, KAS Under Secretary, C M office delivered the key note address.

Collaborators annual meet is a yearly programme when the all the Christian government officers of the Diocese come together. The theme of the programme is “Together we can”.

The four PhD awardees and three who were awarded with promotions were felicitated by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza.

Speaking on the occasion Roy Castelino, President of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy said, " Elisha Andrews is role model to the youth. In the year 2020, India's 60 percent population will be youth. Many need to be trained and guided to join civil service departments. I wish all the success to the efforts of Collaborators to reach their aims."

Ivan Dsouza, MLC was also present during the occasion.

Clifford Lobo delivered the vote of thanks.
