Mangaluru: Billawa stalwart Jaya Suvarna felicitated at Sri Kudroli Temple

Mangaluru, Nov 3: Jaya C Suvarna, chairman, Bharat Bank, and president, All India Billawa Federation, was felicitated in a function held at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple on Sunday November 2.

The felicitation was in recognition of Suvarna’s being conferred with the prestigious Karnataka Rajyotsava Award for 2014.




 

Senior Billawa leader and former union minister B Janardhana Poojary, who inaugurated the function, hailed the contributions of Suvarna to the society and added that his services have been duly recognized through the Rajyotsava Award.

Poojary felicitated Suvarna and his wife Leela by presenting them a shawl and a memento.

Acknowledging the honour, Suvarna said, “I get inspiration to work from Kudroli Kshethra. Working at the Kshethra during the renovation of the temple was indeed my greatest achievement.”

Mayor Mahabala Maarla, Nithyananda D Kotian, Billava Association Mumbai, Sayiram, president, Gokarnanatha Temple, deputy Raghavendra, treasurer Padmaraj, and trustee B K Taranath were present.

    See the Pictures. This is the correct way of felicitation. Jaya Suvarna who is taking felicitation is made to sit in the middle and the Chief Minister & Central Minister who are giving felicitation are standing around.
    But if we observe the photos of other felicitation functions where a Swamiji is called for giving felicitation, there we can see that even 25 year young Swamiji will be sitting like a lord in the middle and the old persons taking felicitation will be Standing, which is totally against the protocol of felicitation functions all over the world and also an insult to the person taking felicitation. But unfortunately in of Tulunadu this wrong practice is carried on whenever any Swamiji is on the stage.
