Mangaluru, Nov 3: Former state minister, Krishna J Palemar, had condemned the police action in applying Goonda Act on Manoj Kulall from Suratkal Kodikere and arresting him.

'Law and order in the state has become a casualty since Congress-led government came to power. We have been witnessing an increase in cases of murder, robbery, rape etc in Karnataka. Instead of finding out culprits behind these acts, the Congress leaders have been making use of services of police force to execute their personal agenda,' he alleged.

Krishna Palemar charged police department of failing to properly deal with vitiating law and order situation in Dakshina Kannada district and failing to identify people behind criminal cases. He noted that the police performance in checking cow slaughter and cattle theft cases here has been abysmal.

In a press statement, he warned that district-wide protest will be undertaken if the situation does not improve in the coming days.
