Mangaluru, Nov 3: A preparatory meeting for 3 days state Yuvajana Mela and award presentation ceremony was held at DK ZP Building at Kottara, Mangaluru on November 3.

A preparatory meeting was presided by the District-In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai.







 

The state Yuvajana Mela and award presentation ceremony will be held at Vitla, Bantwal Taluk Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School ground from December 6 to December 8.

It is expected that above 1000 talented men and women are expected to participate in the event and all the necessary arrangements for stay, food and other essential requirements are underway.

The state Yuvajana Mela (a procession) will be organized at Jain Basadi school ground on December 6 at 3.00 pm.

Six Swami Vivekananda state yuva prashasthis along with Rs 10,000 in cash and two Sanghika prashashtis along with Rs 25,000 in cash will be presented on December 7.

The valedictory function of the state Yuvajana Mela and award presentation ceremony will be held on December 08.

It is estimated that Rs 10,30,000 will be spent on three days state Yuvajana Mela and on award presentation ceremony 2014.

The chief guest for the event will be Higher education minister RV Deshpande, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda, Child and women development minister Umashree, Minister Youth Services and Fisheries Abhaya Chandra Jain and many more are expected to be a part of this event.

Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader, MLC Ivan Souza, Mangaluru North MLA B A Moideen Bava, Minister of Youth Services and Fisheries Abhaya Chandra Jain , Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, SP Dr Sharanappa I P S, M S Mohammad president of organizing samiti and others were present during the preparatory meeting.
