Mangaluru, Nov 4: Annual feast of Holy Rosary parish, Alangar near Moodbidri was celebrated on October 29.
Bishop of Shivamogga, Rev Dr Francis Serrao, participated as the main celebrant. He preached on the theme, 'Mary our Mother'.
At the end of the mass, the Bishop was felicitated. In his address, the Bishop recalled that he was born and baptized here. He also received first communion and confirmation in this parish, and had studied in the primary school here. He expressed pride about the parish and its school, and gratefulness towards the priests, sisters and teachers who taught him.
A large crowd was present on this occasion. 25 priests concelebrated the feast. The rendering of the choir came in for high appreciation. The parish priest thanked Sylvester Rego couple, who were the sponsors of the feast, as well as donors, parishioners, and the devotees alike.
