Ali Hassan enters 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke'

Mumbai, Nov 5 (IANS): Actor Ali Hassan is set to enter TV show "Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke" as a negative character and says essaying different layers of the role is not a cakewalk.

He will play Omkar, a protagonist opposite one of the show's female lead, Mahima Makwana. Omkar turns bitter and vicious following a spate of unfortunate incidents in his life in the Zee TV show. He will play a pivotal role in bringing about a change in Rachna (Mahima).

"What I loved about Omkar's character is that it has many layers to it. Playing a negative character is not easy, but the makers of the show have thought and fleshed my character out and there is a reason behind his bitterness.

"While the world only sees his evil side, what most people miss out on is the generosity hidden behind it," Ali said in a statement.

Ali, who was last seen in "Mahabharat", is excited to enter "Sapne Suhane...", and hopes to strike a chord with the audience with the show.

"I'm going to have a lot of fun playing this character. The cast and crew of the show are fantastic and have made me feel at ease from day one. I'm sure that the audience is going to love my intervention in Rachna's life and hope that they enjoy watching me in my new character just as much as they have loved my previous roles," he added.
