Mangalore, Nov 3: "Spandana", an international student social workers' symposium was inaugurated by Mangalore University vice-chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya here on Friday November 3.

Spandana is an annual event of the college which aims at providing a common platform for the social workers across the country and the globe to enhance their knowledge and reflect upon the emerging trends in the current social issues.

Western Range IGP H N Satyanarayana Rao was the chief guest during the inaugural function while Dr Jacinta D'Souza, principal, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya presided over the function.

Faculty coordinator Ronald Sequeira welcomed the gathering while student coordinator Sheryl proposed the vote of thanks.
