Mangalore: Kajulo Porob 06 Creates Children's World in Bela

Mangalore, Nov 5: On the occasion of 8th anniversary of Kajulo monthly a children's fiesta 'KAJULO POROB 2006' was held in Bela Church Hall in collaboration with Bela Church on Saturday Nov 4.  


The variety of competitions for the children and the variety entertainments and Inter Parish Dance Competition created a children's world at the venue.  

Fr Basil Vas, Vicar Forane of Kasargod Deanery was the chief guests for the programme. Hilda Crasta, Vice-president Bela Parish, Editor of Raknno Fr Francis Rodrigues and Kajulo manager Percy Noronha were present on the dais.  





Quiz competition was conducted by Benedicta, Dafney, Veena, Bhavya, Usha, Roshan for students between Std 1 and 4. Pacchu, Jyothi, Leena, David and Praveen conducted the quiz for students of Std 5, 6 and 7. Charles, Tony Ferros, Steevan Rajesh, Vivian conducted the quis for students of Std 8, 9 and 10. 




 

The event had several games conducted for the children. The cultural programmes included Konkanni dance competition. Talented artiste Ranson Crasta stole the show with his performance at the event.  

The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Sr Maria Goretti S.R.A. the newly elected Superior General of the Congregation of the Sisters of Queen of the Apostles

Kasargod Chinna, actor and playwright was the chief guest on the occasion. 



Eric Ozario, President Karnataka Konkanni Sahithya Academy, Fr Basil Vas, Vicar Forane of Kasargod Deanery and Fr Eric Crasta, Parish Priest of Thanirbavi Church also participated as the guests of honour.  

Two Konkanni books of Raknno Publications (Raknno Bible Quiz by Benny Teacher and Abachyo Kaniyo Sylvester D'Souza Mysore by a collection of stories for children) were also released on the occasion.  

J F D'Souza a writer who has rendered yeoman service to the children's literature and Sr Lucretia, a social worker were honoured on the occasion.
