A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences conduct Oral Cancer Awareness campaign

Mangaluru, Nov 10: As per the directive of the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Department of Public Health Dentistry, A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences will be conducting Oral Cancer Awareness and Screening Campaign from November 7 to November 22.

Under this campaign, oral cancer awareness and screening programs will be carried out for various target groups like Government Schools of Mangaluru, inmates of Government hostels, K.S.R.T.C bus drivers, conductors, mechanics, auto rickshaw drivers, anganawadi workers, various self help groups, railway employees, fire service personnel and police personnel.

As a part of this campaign, a Programme was held at Pre and Post Metric Girls Hostel, Kodialbail and Pre-Metric Boys Hostel, Kadri on November 8. A total of 231 students were screened and those requiring treatment was referred to A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences.
