Mangalore, Nov 6: Prof G Govinda Rao, member of a delegation from Forum for Democracy and Communal Amity (FDCA), has accused M P Prakash, state home minister, of acting irresponsibly on the communal violence that took place in the city in October.

The delegation is on a visit to the violent-affected areas in the city. Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday November 4, he demanded the resignation of the home minister and said that the forum condemned the harassment of innocent people during the riots. 'Indianness' must not be recognised with a communal identity, he said.

The delegation is expected to submit a report on the findings to the government, the director general of police and to the press in a week's time.
