Thank GOD, for miraculous escape of car owner family and biker.

Speed breakers should be installed in all express buses. They fly buses in highway/narrowway..wherever possible.Strict punishment to be given!Poor owner of the busses has to suffer for the fault of employing these type of drivers!

Mistake is done by Voters. Every Election time Voters elect the same Criminals to represent them. After election, the same Voters blame these criminals for Criminal activity. So which is correct?. Voters should answer themselves. Used their hand first to Vote and now they are using the head to blame

Police must do regular speed checks on buses plying. This is horrible. Unless something is done about it many innocent lives will be lost. I am sure the goverment will look into this matter.

The Private Bus Owners do not permit the installation of Speed governors in their buses, if this is done and Hefty fine put on the Company breaking these rules, then slowly there would be reduced number of Fatal accidents. I always have a harrowing time driving on the highways at night, with a small car, the buses just overtake with loud illegal horns, and Bright flashing lights, there is no punishment for the same? Just because a route license cost so much, these persons trouble passengers on the road, with their high speed tactic while lumbering an unsteady whale on wheels on a highway meant for light passenger vehicles. what do people who cannot afford SUVs to do, Or should everyone just start driving Trucks?

It is neither the mistake of drivers of the private buses nor the owners of private buses but it is, I am sorry , the mistake of permit issuing authority.Imagine every 2 / 3 minutes interval buses are issued permit the bus driver and owner wants to earn money. RTO or whoever are issuing permits , their responsibility ends when they issued permit.

Its high time people should come on to the streets and take the law and order in their hands and challenge these drivers who drive so fast and do not care about the lives of common people. We should all protest together on the streets and at the DC's office and till they do not take action should not move from there then only they will show some action. We people should come together its high time

On this route ,accidents n Near accidents take place every day.
One has to pray before leaving for work and again pray after returning safely !!
No doubt it is very comfortable, cheap n the easiest way to commute between Manglore n Udupi/Manipal n beyond.
All that the RTA's n Police have to do is NOT allow the buses to wait at the Bus stops after the Passengers have got down n got in.
The Xpress buses wait till the next Xpress bus comes to the bustop (invariably 2 to 3 minuites )and then rushes to the next bustop to maintain his allotted time..in the bargain ,in order to make up lost time..he drives rash n in speeds much beyond the safety limit, scaring all other pedestrians/vehicles in front, back n around him !!
Please enforce this simple thing and you will see the speeds of these Express buses automatically fall to the legal limits ..
Also check for musical/blaring horns which are used as weapons by them..
..Till then I will continue to Pray........

Coastal Karnataka people will have to sacrifice their lives on the highway till BJP comes to power in Karnataka as there is an unbreakable nexus between bus operators and State Congress.

It is common that most city bus driver says " Quarter paadijyanda steraingdu kullare aapujji maaraya" what you can expect from alcoholic influenced drivers? I had a bad experience once travelling between Udupi and mangalore and I have face "Just missed" situation by drunken driver. Public has to take straight action against such drivers, if you go to police station we all know the result.

It looks like all the past LTTE suicide squad cadres where joined as bus drivers here.

One can see RTOs checking the vehicles during month end (Perhaps their pocket dry during that period). They check vehicles when vehicles are moving in calm.

They are honest enough to buses that fill and carry people like sheep. Festivals were about to start. No spaces in buses to stand and respire. RTOs don't care..

Where are our AAP, NGOs, Social Activists ? Might be they are not travelling by buses...

Irony of southcanara politician is even 8 years after commencing the road development work, the NH17/NH66 works not completed.None complaints or asks for deadline completion dates.Which indicates the flow of funds to the DK politicians. Its true is that the Mlore-Udupi route is the scariest in the world bcoz of competition with express bus operators with narrow timings. An new person has to sit holding his chest with scar. But it is common for DKiets.

Our govt is providing them the permit as they like to make more money.

from udupi to mangalore every 1 to 2 minutes one bus available, before if we miss one then we have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes to get other bus.

But now no, one gone with in a second other one is behind that.

to make more money Bus drivers are going in high speed and then because of these drivers some one will lose life of something else..
