Mangaluru, Nov 15: The thieves have stolen Rs 2.4 lacs cash from a house belonging to Abbas in Kumarangala in Kotekar.

As per the complaint, the house was broken into on the night of Wednesday, November 12. On Thursday November 13, Yousuf Salim, son of Abbas discovered about the theft while he got up to go to mosque at 5 a m. He found the locker and a cupboard opened.

The thieves had taken cash from the locker and imitate ornaments from the wooden cupboard. The thieves had broken the door to the kitchen to enter the house.

Ullal police have registered the case.
