Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (RJP)

Kundapur, Nov 16: A case in which a child was allegedly reported missing has been solved. The police have discovered that it was a fake complaint by the mother of the child. The Gangolli police have established that the child was actually sold to a third party by the mother herself.

The case was registered at Gangolli police station by Sangeetha, the mother of the child.

As per reports, Sangeetha originally a resident from Kasarkod near Honnavar lived with her husband Soorya from Gangolli with their child of three years. Soorya’s family people did not allow the couple to live longer at the house in Gangolli. Then Sangeetha shifted to a rented house at Trasi belonging to S T D Nayak where husband visited her regularly.

It is now said that Sangeetha sold her child to Veena Ashok Sherigar of Kervashe in Karkal taluk for Rs10, 000. After that Sangeetha vacated her house to work as a housemaid in Kundapur. A month back, Sangeetha took an advance of Rs 15,000 from the house she was working and went to Katbelthur near Hemmadi to stay with her sister. She started working there for a factory.

Soorya, the husband was not happy with Sangeetha for leaving the house and he had a dispute with her regarding this. The issue of missing child aggravated the matter. The fight went on for months. Then she decided to leave her husband. But the husband insisted that the child should be given to him. At this point without any options, she decided to complain to the police about the missing child. The case was lodged at Gangolli police on November 11.

The complaint said that she had to be away from home from May 7, 2014 on some work and she had left her child with a lady named Savitha. When she returned home on October 11, Savitha and the child both were missing from the house. Later she tried to find Savitha and child in vain. Savitha’s mobile was also switched off.

Gangolli police under station officer Govardhan did the investigations and found within days that the complaint was not genuine.

As per the recent report, the child is happy with the foster mother Veena and her husband. The child is longing only for her new mother instead of the original one. Savitha whose name was mentioned in the complaint has been proved to be innocent. She also came to the police station to give her version to the police in the form of a statement.

The case will be presented to Kundapur court very soon where they will decide about the custody of the child.

Poverty makes people to do many things. Money plays an improtant role in relations in this era. I have a feeling that most divorces are now based on money and not for anything else. Many woman choose to divorce for money and their freinds sometimes paly a part in extracting money Woman are usually innocent and its men and freinds who are after cash and money

What a mother who sells her child and tells it is missing. Here certain things are not clear.when the wife with the child goes out of in-laws house ,why did the husband remained back and claimed child to be with him?what a type of man he is ?he should have gone with wife ,not remain at parents.she should be punished for selling child and giving wrong complaint at the same time who bought the child also. They should have made a official application for Adaption.such things must be punished severly otherswise everybody can make so.but for childs sake, since child is happy with them could be a punishment in form of Money is enough.other wise child will loose a caretaker for the second time and psychologically affected.

She should not be given the custody of child again instead she should be jailed for her act.The foster parents also should be jailed for encouraging child trafficking. If they wanted to adopt a child they should have taken a legal route instead of using the short cut.

While looking at these type of incidents, the following comes to my mind. They say suicides are two types, fast and slow.
Fast: Gale me rassi dalo and latak jao
Slow: Gale me warmala dalo aur zindage bhar latke raho
