Kasargod, Nov 18: Three youths from Kasargod, who had gone to Singapore on a tourists’ visa landed in Singapore prison.

They have been identified as C S Shihabuddin(29) from Choori Battampareya, A S Hashim(35) from R D Nagar, and M Mohammed Nawaz (34)from Mogral Puttur.

They had gone to Singapore on June 1, 2014. They were taken with a promise to be employed in the business of a businessman hailing from Kasargod. When their luggage was checked at Singapore's Changi airport immigration, fake credit cards were found in it. The credit cards were found in the bag given by the person who had arranged for their visa. They were asked to hand over the bag to a person waiting outside the airport.

However, the three men were arrested for a crime that they did not commit. There was no information about them even after four months when the house people started to make inquiries and came to know that they were in Singapore prison.

It is said that the person who arranged for their visa is absconding to gulf. Their families have requested the government to try and get them released.

They have decided to submit petitions to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Union minister Sushma Swaraj, other ministers at the centre to initiate their release.

They are graduates from U.K university - United Kasargod college of 420 Technology.

Every year a lot of graduates pass out from this '420 university' and land up in big jobs across the globe (read as jails). lol

Signapore authorities arrested them in a haste. If they had sent one of them out with the bag, the received of the bag too would have been in the net.

Nevertheless, keep them in Singapore jail for ever, there will be three smuggling cases less in Mangalore Airport.

If you are good or well versed in something you can fake it also. This business man who promised jobs to those tourists is well versed in credit card business turned into fake credit card business man. Poor tourists and their poor fate.!

In Singapore, there is no "Chori Bhagya" scheme....
Hence, these guys will land up in Jail for very long time...
Before carrying someone's luggage, should have some sense....
Or you guys too may be involved in the crime and now crying foul...

They should consider themselves lucky no drugs was found. Singapore guarantees death penalty even if an ounce of illegal substance is found. Atleast with credit cards they will probably get few months o f jail and be deported. Somehow, i find it hard to believe they did not know there were cards inside their bags! Kasargod, Bhatkal and Darbhanga (Bihar) should open universities on terrorism, smuggling and fraud.
