Beltangady, Nov 20: Deepotsava is a celebration of lights. Laksha means a lac in numbers. Lakshadeepotsava is a festival of a lac of lights. The festival is a feast to the eyes for its mere vibrancy and colour. Dharmasthala is the host of this special event.

One can see only lights in Dharmasthala, the pilgrimage and spiritual abode for thousands of people for generations. Not only inside the temple yard, but also on every corner of the street, you can count lights. Lakshadeepotsava has indeed provided an unforgettable visual treat.

The unique amalgamation of traditional lights with the modern electrical lights can be seen here. One has to be lucky to walk in between these thousands of illuminating lights.

Lights are ruling here. They have illuminated the town. The visitors do not want to go back from this luminary world until the festival ends.
