Speeding lorry hits car, four injured

Bhatkal, Nov 20: Four people were seriously injured when a speeding lorry collided with new Bolreo car near Bailur cross, Murdeshwer.

The incident occured at around late night 1 am.

Bolero was coming from Honnavar to Mangalore and lorry was heading towards Honnavar from Bhatkal.




The injured has been identified as Bolero driver Ravindra Naik from Maharashtra, Manjunath Shetty from Maharashtra, Sukumar Ameen from Mangalore and Nagesh Devadiga from Murdeshwer.

After initial treatment in RNS hospital, Ravindra Naik was shifted to Udupi. Rest of the injured were shifted to Kundapur.

Ravindra is said to be critical.

A case has been registered at Murdeshwer police station against lorry driver Hanumant Halalagi who is a resident of Belagavi.
