Veronica Cornelio appointed chairperson of KSDL

Bengaluru, Nov 27: The Karnataka State Government has appointed former Taluk Panchayat president and present District women Congress president, Veronica Cornelio, as the Chairperson of Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited. She is expected to take over the position on December 6 at a formal function in Bangalore. KSDL is the manufacturer of Mysore Sandal soap and other superior quality soaps and detergents.

Commenting on the developments, Veronica Cornelio said “ The state government has entrusted a responsibility on me trusting my abilities. I am honored and at the same time thankful for this opportunity. I will do my best to work for the dispatch my duties diligently”

Veronica Cornelio, who hails from Kemmannu, is actively involved in the field of social service for the past 20 years. She has served as one of the first woman presidents of Udupi Taluk Panchyat and has been an elected Taluk Panchayt member for the past 2 decades from Uppor and Padu Thonse electoral areas. She is currently the President of the district Mahila Congress wing. Recently, she was honoured with the prestigious district level Rajyothsava award.

Veronica Cornelio is also the Co-ordinator, and has played a key role in introducing the Manipal Konkani known for her simplicity, politeness and soft spoken nature.

Veronica Cornelio is also considered as a champion of knowledge with regard to the schemes available from the government, especially for widows, handicapped and the backward classes. Her selfless contribution to the society has widely been acknowledged by various organizations and institutions.
