Imphal, Nov 19: Mangalore University beat RTM Nagpur by 15-0 goals in the All India Inter University Hockey women tournament 2006-07 organised by Manipur University under the auspicious of Association of Indian Universities New Delhi at MU ground on Friday.

Quite a large number of universities have failed to turned up in this tournament, leading to many team getting walkover and inn one match both the contesting teams were absent. Today, five teams - Guru Gashidas, Devi Ahilya, Kerala, Shivaji and Pt Ravi Shankar Sh University got walkover.

The goal scorers for Mangalore university in their huge win over RTM Nagpur were: Kavita two goals, Suman one goal, Sowmya four goals, Jasuma three goals, Shweta two goals and Shruty three goals.

Meanwhile, the organizing committee MU appeaedl to all the student organizations, civil societies and other voluntary organisations kindly to abstain from staging any type of bandh, strike, public curfew and road blockade etc during the progress of the tournament up to Nov 25 to enable all the participating universities coming from various parts of the country to travel freely along national highway 39 and in and around the venues of the accomodation, playing field etc.
