Assault on woman in ATM - prize money for informants enhanced

Bengaluru, Dec 1: On October 19, 2013, an unidentified assailant had attacked an woman named Jyothi Uday, who had visited Corporation Bank's ATM at Corporation Bank Circle in the city, within S J Park police station limits. Jyothi, who happened to be an employee of Corporation Bank, was critically injured in the attack. Although CCTV images of the attacker are available, he is yet to be traced even after a year.

On December 16 last year, the police department had announced a prize money of Rs 5 lacs to anyone providing information about the said attacker. The police department says it has taken all efforts to trace and arrest the criminal.

City police commissioner, M N Reddy, feels that people's support and cooperation is very much appreciated to nail the culprit. He has accordingly, enhanced the prize money in the above case to Rs 10 lacs.
