There are about 100 villages within the radius of 50 kms from Thumbay with a combined population of more than 8 lakhs. The people of Puttur, Sullia, Ujire, Vittal, Uppinangady and Bantwal Taluk can save time and energy travelling to Mangaluru once BA Group completes the development of Thumbay Township. This was the vision of B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, founder and president of BA Group which was established five decades ago. He started living in Thumbay and laid the foundation of his wood processing unit. The BA Group was founded in the year 1957.
