Bengaluru Dec 2: Due to confusion over the terms of the surrender and rehabilitation of the naxalites, the surrender of the two naxal leaders Noor Zulfikar and Sirimane Nagaraj, scheduled for December 2, has been postponed.

The two naxal leaders, who face a number of cases in different police stations in the districts of Udupi and Chikkamagaluru, were supposed to hold a press conference in the presence of journalist Gowri Lankesh and freedom fighter H S Doreswamy at Press Club in Bengaluru. 'Citizens Forum for Peace' had brokered the surrender process.

The place of surrender has now been moved to Chikkamagaluru. The date for the surrender has not yet been fixed. With Datta Jayanthi celebrations under way in Chikkamagaluru, the date is likely to be finalized after three to four days.
