Mangaluru: Rosa Mystica School celebrates Platinum jubilee

Mangaluru, Dec 7: Rosa Mystica Hr Pry School Kinnikambla celebrated its platinum jubilee celebration, on Sunday, December 7.

The great visionary and founder of Bethany congregation Mangalore, servant of God Msgr Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas had started the school on June 14, 1939 to educate the under-privileged and poor children. His mission and vision have now grown into a gigantic tree. Over the years, the institute has educated thousands of students who continue to shine all over India and abroad.

To commemorate the platinum jubilee, bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza, along with other priests offered a thanksgiving mass. Sr Lilies the assistant superior general and the vice-president of BES, Sr Mariette the provincial superior of Mangalore province, along with the sisters, parents, teachers, well-wishers and over hundreds of students participated in the celebration and thanked the almighty for his blessings on the institution. They also thanked Blessed Mother– the Mystical Rose for her continuous intercession.

Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza blessed and felicitated the management, staff and students and prayed that the institute may grow in name and fame and radiate the compassionate love of God.

Sr Lilies, assistant superior general, recalled the happy memories of late founder and servant of God RFC Mascarenhas. She also gratefully remembered all the former headmistresses, correspondent teachers and especially the present headmistress Sr Prashanthi and the committed staff for their ceaseless efforts in the service of the students.

Bishop was welcomed by a guard of honour given by the students along with Sr Lellis, assistant superior general, Sr Mariette, provincial superior. Local Sr Amita correspondent Sr Concetta and Sr Prashanthi, headmistress spoke on the occasion. Bishop blessed and addressed the students and the gathering. Leena Lilly Pinto compered and Lucia Barboza proposed the vote of thanks.
