Puttur, Dec 8: A young teacher ended her life by hanging self on Sunday at Sidhyala near Kepulu in the outskirts of Puttur town.
Ashmitha (22), daughter of Ravindra Naik is the person deceased. She was a teacher at St Mary’s school at Uppinangady.
As per details available, Ashmitha was alone at home during the time of the act. Her parents and siblings were out to attend a wedding. When they came back, they found Ashmitha hanging from a ceiling fan. Immediately she was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The reasons for the suicide are not yet known. The deceased was unmarried. She is survived by her parents, sister and a brother.
Puttur town police have registered the case. Further investigations are on.
