Mangaluru, Dec 8: In the third incident of its kind in less than 24 hours in the city, a person was stabbed near Kunjathbail here on Monday December 8.

Sharif (38), a chicken trader by profession, was stabbed in broad daylight.

Eyewitnesses said that two persons came in a bike and attacked Sharif with sharp weapons and fled. When another person who was with Sharif tried to stop them, they pushed him and escaped.

Locals said that Sharif knew the persons who attacked him.

He was rushed to hospital by his elder brother.

CCB inspector Valentine D'Souza and DCP K V Jagadish along with Kavoor police arrived at the spot.

Speaking to daijiworld, Valentine D'Souza clarified that this incident had no connection with the Ulaibettu communal clashes. He further said that the victim was stabbed on the back, and he's now out of danger. He added that the police are still in the process of gathering further information.

Cowards act. No value for the humanity. Here people never seen who is right or wrong, instead they just look at u as hindu or muslim (even though you dont follow or you dont have any right to say I am hindu or muslim). Many people never follow their religion here. Both or all the religion teaches peace but the people are taking it differently with the name of religion. True follower never indulge in these kind of activities coz he/she has some faith in their eternal world and they are scared about their bad deeds.

So, I must say those who indulge in these kind of activities they dont have a religion and they are the shameful creatures of this earth.

Government should ban all the groups, who violates law and make them responsible when they announce strike for all the events happens during that duration.

Being an Indian and staying in the city like Mangalore, i don't feel safe. I think 100 times before going out, what if they attack me? for them it's all fun. First of all those rape cases and now these murders. what's wrong with this country? Let's get United and protest, it's our right. solution for all these is to set up a curfew till the matter gets solved.
#i believe in peace not bloodshed.

Yaara yaara charbige yaaru yaaru bali.

Poor policemen - they are in firing line - while doing their duty. Actually this was not duty, these kind of emergencies are created by goons.

Ordinary working people are sitting ducks to take out the vengeance of these goons.

Religious leaders - their profession is religion, so they preach. But common men have to take the religious leaders as such. We have to process and follow them keeping in mind our society, profession, family, safety.
Same applies to politicians. After instigating us, they live in their cocoons, safe and well fed. It is for us to understand this game.

VHP/BD have more jobless goons compared to other communities because of the population ratio. It is for the saner community to clip down the goons and bring them into proper society.

    Are we doing our job?

Jacintha, you seem to be knowledgeable. I agree to most of the of what you have written but I should tell you that don't bring any religion or any groups in between while making a comment because that may/equally be a reason for communal disrupt. The Community leaders preach it and we propagate it and hence we are equally responsible too.
