HCL Infosystems MD resigns


New Delhi, Dec 8 (IANS): HCL Infosystems' managing director and chief executive officer Harshavardhan Madhav Chitale has resigned, the company told the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Monday.

"HCL Infosystems Ltd. has informed BSE that Mr. Harshavardhan Madhav Chitale has resigned as Managing Director & CEO and as Director of the Company w.e.f. (with effect from) close of business hours on Dec 31, 2014," a filing by the company in the BSE said.

The company's board approved his resignation Dec 8 in a meeting.

Premkumar Seshadri, director and executive vice-chairman, has been appointed as managing director of the company with effect from Jan 1, 2015. His designation from Jan 1, 2015 will be executive vice-chairman and managing director, the statement added.
