Udupi: Justice S R Nayak inaugurates Human Rights Federation office

Udupi, Dec 11: The inauguration of new office of Human Rights Federation of India, Udupi division was done on December 11 at Canara towers, Udupi by Justice S R Nayak, president of Karnataka Legal Commission.

Addressing the audience, he said "There is a need to provide justice to deprived women. Even today, most of the rural women lack the opportunity to exercise their basic rights. We are responsible for the decreased female ratio in the country. Women harassment and sex discrimination are seen everywhere and she struggles to survive in life. "

"Human Right is an ocean, it should protect poor’s life by eradicating the social evils. Human Rights day is not limited for one day. It should be practiced throughout the year. The association should create good rapport and faith between deprived community. Private committee or NGO’s plays crucial role in bringing them into main stream of the society,". He added.

Justice S R Nayak will also be participating in interaction program with MGM college students.

CMC Commissioner Srikanth Rao, Poornima Shetty, President, Nityananda Kotian, vice president, Ravi Prakash Bhat, Dy SP Prabhudev Mane and others were present.
