Addressing the gathering, Maarla said that this year has been golden time for Tulu films. “There was a time when the Tulu movies were not making any impact on the big screens. But now the situation has changed and even Tulu movies are seeing grand success in the market. It is a proud moment for all of us because the Tulu industry is coming up. Devdas Kapikad and Naveen D Padil’s movies are fun to watch. I always prefer comedy movies,” he said.

The Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists' Union president Jagannath Shetty Bala praised the Tulu industry and said that the Tulu industry has a history of over 53 years. “So far all the movies have crossed 100 days and even ‘Soombe’ is sure to hit a century,” he said.

Naveen D Padil informed the gathering that the movie will be releasing in January 2015 and said that the movie has come out really good.

Story-screenplay-director of ‘Soombe’ Saikrishna Kudla said that the movie has five songs and all are filled with different flavors. “One song is related to philosophy, another is comic and the other three songs are targeted at youths. This is a complete love and comedy story. It is an experiment,” he added.

“Noted music director Gurukiran, Rajesh Krishnen, Nakul, Jogi Sunitha, Supriya Lohith and Mangalorean singers Vismaya Ninayak and Dhananjay Varma have lent their voices to the songs,” he said.

For the first time Devadas Kapikad has sung for the film.

The music has been scored by Edberg Dilone and the lyrics are penned by Shashiraj Rao Kavoor. Rahul Amin plays the male lead in the film while Srithama Mukherjee plays the female protagonist. The film has been produced at a budget of Rs one crore.

Music director Edberg Dilone thanked the crew for being supportive throughout.

Producer Kishor Kottari welcomed the guests, executive producer Ashwith Kottari proposed the vote of thanks. Vineeth compered the audio release ceremony.

Ex-corporator Bhaskar Shetty, Vincent Cutinho, hero of the film Rahul Amin, Anand Shetty, Kishor D Shetty, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and others were also present.

In Udupi, legal advisor Dinkar Shetty released CDs at the Press Club, in the presence of Shivakumar Karje, Hindu Yuva Sene social worker, Deeraj K Shetty, president of All College Organization, Ashwin Amin Bantwal and Nagarjun.

The film was shot at Kanteerva Studio in Bengaluru, Sakleshpur and other parts of district.
