Bangalore, Nov 28: Air Deccan, India’s second largest airline, has won “the Best Domestic No Frills Carrier” award instituted by the Galileo Express Travel Awards 2006.
Captain G R Gopinath, Managing Director of Air Deccan at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday, received the award.
A company release stated that on receiving the award, Gopinath said, 'being adjudged India’s best domestic Low Frills Carrier is an endorsement of the Air Deccan vision of enabling every Indian to fly'. 'The award is an encouragement for Air Deccan’s pioneering efforts in making air travel more affordable and accessible than ever before', Gopinath said.
The Galileo Express Travel World Awards 2006 is instituted by Express Travel World, India’s foremost Travel Business Magazine from the Indian Express Group and their Industry partner Galileo India.
