Udupi, Dec 13: Fire broke out at an agricultural hardware store at GB Pant road here on Sunday December 13.
The Agro Industrial Traders where the fire broke out is located in a commercial complex of Weavers Cooperative Society. The store sells spare parts for agricultural equipment and rice mill machineries.
Three fire engines rushed to the spot and after much effort, managed to put off the flames.
A heavy smoke engulfed the complex.
The fire is said to have caused heavy damage to the goods in the store. The loss is estimated to be in lacs.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Locals gathered in huge numbers at the spot.
