Nandita's family keeps minister waiting at doorstep

Daijiworld Media Network - Shivamogga (SP)

Shivamogga, Dec 14: The family of Nandita created awkward moments for district in-charge minister, Kimmane Ratnakar, by not opening the doors of its house when the minister came calling on Saturday December 13. The minister had visited the family to console the members in connection with losing its provision store in fire the previous day, after losing their daughter tragically a few weeks back.

The minister had visited the spot where the provision store of Krishnamurty, father of Nandita, stood at Balebail near Thirthahalli till the day before. Thereafter, he went to Krishnamurty's house to share their agony. The family had been sounded in the morning about the proposed visit of the minister. But when the minister reached his house, Krishnamurty was not at home. No one extended him a welcome. Even though the minister was waiting at their doorsteps, none of the family members opened the doors. Policemen later called out the family members and made them to let the minister in, giving some moments of discomfiture for the minister.

The minister spoke to the family for about 15 minutes before leaving. In the meanwhile, additional police personeel have been posted in Balebail and Thirthahalli to avert any untoward incidents as a repercussion for burning of the said provision store.

The local BJP leaders said that they will reconstruct the provision store of Krishnamurty, which was gutted in late night fire on Friday. This shop was the only source of income for the family. These leaders said that they will collect donations from donors and general public for building this shop. Work on this shop began on Saturday itself.

Sources in the meanwhile, said that Krishnamurty has decided not to accept any compensation that might be extended by the government.

Important to know is, what the Minister had talked\supported Krishnamurthy and later to his family when he was away, from the Government.
This, the Media is conveniently not mentioning, where as, they will go all out to spread the other news.
Minister does not visit just for the sake of visiting couple of times.
BJP is taking advantage of the tragic situation.
At all cost, Government should find out who set the store on fire.. then the the real truth will come out.
