Mangaluru, Dec 14: It was an exhilarating evening for all those who gathered at St Aloysius High School Grounds here on Saturday December 13, as Zumba Fitness, an international dance fitness programme, held its maiden Mega Master class in the city.

Zumba Fitness, created by Albreto Perez, came into existence in 2001, and is now in 180 countries with 15 million people taking Zumba classes around the world.

On Saturday, two Zumba education specialist/master trainers of India, Sucheta Pal and Shwetambari Shetty conducted the fitness dance class for non-stop 90 minutes.

Prior to the class, a floral welcome was extended to Fr Edward, headmaster of St Aloysius High School, Praveen who made the arrangements, and to Ajmal.

Sucheta Pal said that she was excited to be in Mangaluru and thanked the participants for joining the programmed and supporting it.

Around 300 participants, including men, women and children of all age groups including senior citizens, danced away to glory non-stop for 90 minutes, with the instructors guiding them with aerobic moves.

Zumba Fitness instructor training will also be conducted in Mangaluru in 2015.
