Farah Khan ousts Salman Khan to host Big Boss 8

Mumbai, Dec 17: A clash of dates has meant that audiences will soon be seeing Big Boss 8 with Farah rather than Salman Khan. The makers of the show received an extension and decided to go on till February 2014. Salman Khan had given his commitment to be with the show until January 2014 and was unable to further commit himself to the show.

Farah, is reportedly a huge fan of the show and was quite excited when the makers of the show contacted her to host it. Having the time to dedicate herself to hosting it for the extended one month, the choreographer-director has agreed to host in the stead of Salman Khan.

Salman was scheduled to start shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan from January next year and therefore graciously backed out of committing himself to work he would likely be unable to do. The housemates too have apparently agreed to the extended time that they will be required to stay in the house.

Allegedly the show makers have gone in for continuing the show for a month more as the TRP's increased in recent times, means more money in their kitty. Pragmatic in their approach they have only decided to do the show until February lest the audiences lose interest.

    Farah is not bad host but in comparison with Salman she would not handle Big Boss so neatly as Salman.
    comparison of with a point of popularity Salman is most popular than Farah.the situations Big Boss seasons

    I feel Salman Khan and Big Boss cannot be separated. No one can do Weekend ka Vaar like Salman Khan.

    Farah Khan is no match for Salman. She will kill all the fun :(

    We will miss salman as he was very superb host of big boss, we love to watch weekend ka vaar as it will always be very interesting n very entertaining with salman. I think nobody can take his place in big boss as a host. We as an audience always appreciate his humourious nature. N the way he handle housemates n that airputy jalas... Lol.. Anyways, we hope farah as a big boss host too entertain us.. We really miss salman ... We love u salman n all the very best for ur upcoming films...
