Karkala: Woman alleges BJP leader, two others of assault, death threat

Karkala, Dec 18: A complaint stands filed in Ajekar police station here, against three persons including taluk level BJP minority unit secretary Mohammed Meera Abbas by their neighbour, who has alleged that she was beaten up and threatened with death threats.

Zeenath (40), wife of Ibrahim, living near Radha Nayak High School in Yennehole is the complainant. She has named the assailants as Mohammed Meera Abbas (40), Sharwan (42), and Khadar (43), all from Yennehole, who happen to be her neighbours.

She said that when Mohammed Meera Abbas was trying to rebuild the fallen compound wall surrounding his house, his neighbour, Mohammed Meera Abbas, objected to it. He threatened to file police complaint, and clicked the photograph of the under construction compound wall on his cell phone before leaving in a huff, states the complaint.

She said he came again at 4.30 pm the same day, illegally entered the compound of Ibrahim along with his associates, Sharwan and Khadar. He not only hurled choicest abuses at Zeenath, but also pulled and pushed her, besides posing death threats, she added. Zeenath explained that the three left the place after a number of people from the area gathered around the area.

Zeenath has got admitted into a private hospital here for treatment of injuries suffered by her during the said scuffle.
