Chikkamagaluru, Dec 19: In an accident which occurred in national highway 206 at Anchechomanahalli in Kadur taluk between a truck and a motor bike, three persons from a single family lost their lives on Thursday December 18 evening.
Anand (30) from Aralikoppa in Bhandravati taluk in Shivamogga district, his wife, Yashoda (26), and daughter, Yashwaswini (6), were killed in this accident.
All the three died on the spot. Anand, who was going to Banavara from Kadur in his motor bike with his wife and daughter, was trying to overtake a truck at Anchechomanahalli,when his vehicle collided with a truck moving from Mettupalayam in Tamil Nadu to Kollapur inMaharashtra, which was approaching from the opposite direction.
Truck driver, Kupparaju, was taken into custody for questioning. A case was registered in Kadur police station.
