Mysuru, Dec 21: Policemen of Devaraja station in the city have busted a racket involved with issuance of fake medical certificates and arrested five persons related to this illegal act. The people involved with the racket used to issue fake medical certificates and fitness certificates in the name of the government-run K R Hospital to the needy for a price, the policemen claimed.

The arrested persons are, Dr R Muddukrishna (69), retired medical officer of the said hospital who presently resides at Tilak Nagar here, a D group employee of the hospital named Sagai Raj (48), presently residing at Belavatta village, retired ambulance driver, C P Velu (65), who resides in Kalyanagiri here, Krishna (45) from Vidyaranyapura in the city, who reportedly facilitated procurement of fake rubber stamp for the racket, and Nataraj (45), a resident of Gayatripuram here, who actually manufactured the rubber stamps used by the members of the racket.

The arrests were made on Friday December 19. Fake rubber stamps were recovered from their possession. The policemen said these people were involved with fraudulent acts in the form of issuance of fake certificates in the name of hospital without having any authority to do so.
