Mangaluru: Passenger from Dubai goes missing from airport

Mangaluru, Dec 21: A person who arrived in the city from Dubai has reportedly gone missing from Mangalore International Airport since Friday December 19.

As per a complaint filed in the Bajpe police station, Abdul Jaleel Baruva Mehmood (35), son of Baruva Mehmood arrived from Dubai at the Mangaluru airport by Air India Express flight on Friday at 7.30 am.

A resident of Kumble in Kasargod, Abdul did not go home after arriving here.

After efforts to reach him by his family failed, his uncle filed a missing complaint in the Bajpe police station.

Anyone who has information about Abdul's whereabouts is requested to contact the nearest police station.

    According to me he was one of the volunteers to transport gold illegally. he might have put in some gold or some mischief seeing the yellow gold. The gold mafia must have taken him into custody. Hope he is still alive. God save him!!

    Since he is sure in Mangalore landed,(from Airport passengers list)he must be hiding for some reasons of his own,may be some yellow metal Connections,or a second Family which the origin dont know,.Only hope nothing has happened to him .Whatever it is he e should be as a adult and tell at home and take off their fears.

    This could be a second incident in Mangalore Airport a long ago my relative also missing in Mangalore Airport it is almost 18 years there were no direct flights he came to Mumbai from Dubai and arrived to Mangalore by Air India from there he is missing every evidence record and eye witness also available but person till now missing

    If his family is sure that he has checked out in Airport records, he may have been abducted by the smuggling mafia. These people have left a bad name for Mangaluru airport and innocent passengers are paying the price for the misdeeds of these smugglers.

    Please check in Air craft again..This passenger might be sleeping..or in toilet which is locked outside..and Air India Express staff are least bothered about passengers..!!

    I feel sorry for his folks. Its better to have a separate Immigration and custom check for Kasargodians..as it is the Airport has lost its chasity cos to these guys.
