Bantwal: Serial accident at BC Road - one injured

Bantwal, Dec 22: A serial accident between Omni car and a lorry and a car on the flyover at BC Road caused grevious injuries to Shareef , resident of Bogody, Bantwal on December 22.

As per sources, the Omni car which was moving from Panemangalore to Mangaluru hit a lorry moving from Mangaluru to Bengaluru.

The driver of Omni, Shareef sustained to serious injuries and has been admitted to private hospital of Mangaluru. The lorry was also damaged. A car lost control and hit the standing lorry from behind.




 It is also learnt that in order to find a solution for the increasing traffic jam in BC Road, Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim had given the permission to use the fly over for two way traffic. There is lot of confusion among the people to use the fly over as one way or two way.

The residents of BC Road say that the accidents are bound to be increased, if the fly over will be used as two way traffic.

    The only cause of this accident is lack of "Warning Boards".(Beware of Approaching Traffic )....The Use of the Flyover for up n Down traffic is a good move as it decongests the junction below i.e at the B.C Road Busstand area.
    The Highway authorities should be pulled up for this lapse.
