Kasargod, Dec 22: The police have arrested three persons for allegedly abducting a student, forcing her to consume alcohol and then raping her at Cheemeni here.
Danesh, an auto driver from Pilikkodu, his friends Lal, Raiju from Palakkad, Ashok and Manoj are the accused on whom the cases have been registered based on the complaint by the victim.
Two other accused whose names have not been disclosed are absconding.
As per the complaint, the victim knew only Raiju. On Sunday evening of December 21, Raiju abducted the victim in Danesh's auto rickshaw and took her to an uninhabited place near Vengapare, made her consume alcohol and allegedly raped her with other four accused.
Police team led by Vellarikundu circle inspector Suresh Babu is investigating the case. The victim has been admitted to Chervathur hospital.
